Snail mail

Hey! I sent out my visa application to new York yesterday!!!!! So, they said it should get there by wednesday. Soooo weeks of prayer shall go by till I hear back from them. Please pray for me as well

I'm working for the school here that my family is at. Im cleaning classrooms after school, and on the weekend I'm working as a keeper (cleaner) for the church. So, raising a bit more money!!! :D

Have you ever heard the phrase "have a good one!", as like a farewell phrase? Well I use it a lot! And it bugs me every time I say it!!! Why just one? And what exactly is the one? .... I should say something like " have a good everything!!!" Or maybe just end by saying "God is good!" And that's it!!

Mmm Whatcha Say

Today i drove about 1 1/2 hrs to Orlando to ........... get my fingerprints!!! YAY!!!!!! Though i was a wee bit late to the Application Support Center, due to an unknown change in their location, they were generous enough to let me in (no biggy). Not to mention i got booted to the back of the line when i had to take my cell phone out to my car because they are not allowed inside.

So, after a sit there after getting my paper stamped, a lady called my number "99!" Then i got over there, and quietly shuffled my papers, trying to find which one she wanted... she took my passport. Then she needed to know my middle name, so i told her "Cynthia," then she said that her name was Miriam and her sister's name was Cynthia. Haha, that was too good for chance ;)
I learned from the TV in the center, that people who want to be a US citizen have to take an oath, and there are days when a group can do it in one room (they showed an example video), which made me wonder how many people become US citizens and why? They have to take this oath to become a citizen. And also, the perspective citizen seekers must answer questions about the history of the US as well as our government... I don't know if i would pass that!!

I drove back, cheery, thankful, munching on wilty grapes, singing along with 21 Pilots and Rend Collective, not aware that a bottle of "Skin so Soft" had leaked all over my important documents... hahaaa. I can re-print most of them, but the one that they stamped today will have to smell a bit like bug repellent...

next step........................ Send in my reprinted application!!! :D

Vis a vis for Valentines

SOOOO!!!!!!!!!!
i filled out my Visa application today!!!!!! Thanks to the help of God, Google, my dad, and Richie (supervisor in Northern Ireland), i'm another step closer!!

PLEASE pray for me as i have an appointment with the Visa office in Orlando on Wednesday the 18th!!!!

Wow.... God is sooooOOOooooo good!!! :D Though the Visa was more expensive than i thought, I know God will provide!!

Today i was running, and working out, and thinking (because there's a lot to think about)!! Well, i was getting a little nervous and i told God that i was Scared. Then He so readily reminded me of a passage that i have found to love in the past couple weeks.... Which, in part, is right here....

(1 John 4:18-19)

Why in the world am i nervous?!?! And sometimes i try to think "what's love got to do with it?" because i never really thought of "love" being the opposite of "fear". So, if i am fearful, then there must be some way that i need to love more!!!
I was also reminded of a part of a song that says, "the God of angel armies is always by my side", which was really comforting.

When i am "Vis-a-vis" (face to face) with conflict, my Father is right there with me!!

And as God=Love, then i have no need to be afraid!!

Put that in your pipe and smoke it on Valentines Day :)

.....or today!!!

Love, Miriam
