Today i
drove about 1 1/2 hrs to Orlando to ........... get my fingerprints!!!
YAY!!!!!! Though i was a wee bit late to the Application Support Center, due to an unknown
change in their location, they were generous enough to let me in (no biggy). Not to mention i got
booted to the back of the line when i had to take my
cell phone out to my car because they are not allowed inside.
So, after a sit there after getting my paper
stamped, a lady called my number "99!" Then i got over there, and quietly
shuffled my papers, trying to find which one she wanted... she took my passport. Then she needed to know my middle name, so i told her "
Cynthia," then she said that her name was Miriam and her sister's name was Cynthia.
Haha, that was too good for chance ;)
I
learned from the TV in the center, that people who want to be a
US citizen have to take an oath, and there are days when a group can do it in one room (they showed an example video), which made me wonder how many people become US citizens and
why? They have to take this oath to become a citizen. And also, the
perspective citizen seekers must answer questions about the history of the US as well as our government... I don't know if i would pass that!!
I drove back,
cheery,
thankful, munching on wilty grapes,
singing along with 21 Pilots and Rend Collective, not aware that a bottle of "Skin so Soft" had
leaked all over my important documents... hahaaa. I can re-print most of them, but the one that they stamped today will have to
smell a bit like bug repellent...
next step........................
Send in my reprinted
application!!! :D
